The W15Lx24 rim is a widened rim commonly used for the rear wheels of backhoe loaders. It is wider than the ordinary W15x24 and is suitable for wider tires (such as 17.5L-24, etc.). It is mainly used in working conditions with higher requirements for traction and stability. Here are its main advantages:
Advantages of the W15Lx24 rim on backhoe loaders
1. Suitable for wider industrial tires (L type)
"L" means the wide base tire (Low Section Wide Base Tire) design, which is used with large section tires such as 17.5L-24 and 18.4-24.
Compared with the ordinary W15x24, the inner diameter and width of the W15Lx24 rim are more suitable for wide tire design, making the tire fit more tightly and the performance more stable.
2. Larger ground contact area, improved traction
Wider tires + wider rims = larger ground contact area;
The advantages are:
It is not easy to get stuck on muddy and soft roads;
Increase the support force of the rear wheels during excavation;
Increase the stability of the whole machine during work (prevent the tail from sinking or slipping).
3. Improve the stability and controllability of the whole machine
When the excavator loader is in the rear shovel working state, the center of gravity of the whole vehicle is biased to the rear;
The wide tire + wide rim design can reduce shaking and improve lateral stability during steering and slope conditions;
It helps to improve safety during operations on complex terrain.
