Wheel loaders place extremely high demands on their wheel rims, a requirement dictated by the nature of their work and the harsh environments they operate in.

The primary task of a wheel loader is to scoop and load heavy materials. When the bucket is full, the wheel rim must withstand enormous static loads. During operation, especially on rough terrain, it must also withstand strong dynamic impacts. Therefore, the wheel rim must be made of high-strength steel and undergo special heat treatment and reinforcement design to ensure it does not deform, crack, or fail due to fatigue under high loads.

Wheel loaders require frequent turning, sudden stops, and changes of direction. During these operations, the wheel rim must be able to withstand strong lateral and torsional forces. Its structural design must be robust to ensure the tires are securely fixed to the rims, preventing them from coming off under extreme conditions. This structural stability also ensures the vehicle's balance when lifting or unloading materials, reducing the risk of rollover.

The working environments of wheel loaders are often challenging, such as mines, quarries, and construction sites, where the ground may be covered with sharp gravel, rocks, and metal scrap. This requires the rim to possess the following characteristics: Impact resistance: able to withstand direct impacts from sharp objects to prevent rim damage. Abrasion resistance: the rim surface and edges must resist abrasion in environments filled with abrasive dust and rock debris. Corrosion resistance: if the working environment is humid or contains chemicals, the rim surface coating and materials must effectively resist corrosion.

Simultaneously, the rim dimensions must perfectly match the tires and loader rims used with it. This includes: Diameter and width: must precisely correspond to the tire specifications (e.g., 20.5-25) to ensure correct tire installation and good air tightness. Center bore and bolt holes: must precisely match the specifications of the loader rim to ensure a secure installation and prevent safety issues caused by loosening during operation.
